Honda introduces 3 year UNLIMITED Km warranty on all models
back to what's newHonda owners can now drive to their hearts content after Honda NZ unveiled an "Unlimited Kilometre" warranty.
The new "Three Years/Unlimited Kilometres" warranty replaces Honda's existing "Three Years/100,000 Kilometre" warranty and will be standard for all new Hondas sold in New Zealand. Additionally, reinforcing the reliability of the product Honda has made the decision to backdate the warranty to January 1, 2006 - meaning it will automatically apply to the approximately 7,500 new Hondas sold during the past 15 months. "The extension demonstrates the absolute confidence that we have in the quality of our product" said Managing Director of Honda New Zealand, Mr Seymour.
"Offering an 'Unlimited Kilometres' warranty is just another way Honda is practically fulfilling our pledge to give Honda drivers the best experience possible," said Mr Seymour. "Any new Honda - purchased from the beginning of last year onward - will remain under warranty for the full three years, regardless of how many kilometres you cover."
Mr Seymour says the warranty change will be particularly attractive to business customers or those drivers who clock up large mileage as part of their job or lifestyle.
Honda's previous industry leading initiatives include being the first New Zealand car company to introduce fuel efficiency labels to all demonstrator vehicles, which now include crash test ratings and CO2 emissions info. Honda New Zealand also led both the local and global car industries when it switched from a reseller to an agency distribution model and introduced the Honda Price Promise (under which all customers receive the same low price when purchasing a Honda) to the New Zealand market.
